Web Mode
Web Mode is the browser-first route. It uses a local vendored WebTorrent browser bundle that is lazy-loaded when the user opens or starts Web Mode.
Compatibility
Web Mode uses WebRTC-compatible swarms. Classic TCP/UDP BitTorrent requires Local Bridge or Remote Node. Some torrents will not progress in browser mode if no WebRTC-compatible tracker or peer path is available.
Metadata
The interface supports magnet link input and .torrent file selection where the browser engine allows it. Torrent name, info hash, files, progress, peer count, download speed, and upload speed are displayed from live WebTorrent events. Veilo does not fake progress.
Server Boundary
Magnet links and torrent files are handled in the browser. They are not sent to the Veilo server unless a user explicitly pastes them into a contact or compliance message.
